2006 Del Rio Vineyards Syrah
Del Rio Vineyards is known for the consistency of its fruit and
excellent vineyard management practices. In the warm climate
of Southern Oregon, Syrah flourishes, producing intense fruity and
earthy wines with long aging potential. Barrel tastings in
the Spring of 2007 show this Syrah developing beautifully with dark and
deep black fruit flavors, characteristic spicy aromas and firm tannic
structure. We will be aging the wine for over 12 months in a
combination of mostly new French and American oak. We look
forward to a wonderfully rich and balanced wine when it is
released.
