The Seven Hills Vineyard is on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla AVA, which straddles the state line between eastern Oregon and Washington.  We have high hopes for this site, as many Merlots produced from Seven Hills Vineyard grapes have scored above 90 with both Robert Parker and the Wine Spectator. Initial barrel tastings from the winter of 2008 show jammy currant and plum aromas and rich, luscious mouthfeel with a long, smooth finish. It will be aged for a minimum of 18 months in 40% new French and American oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
We estimate 275 cases produced. Release Date: Fall 2009.
